Err... With that much information, I'm not sure you can get an answer.
What type of alkane? Check the [aliphatic] lipid tails of Martini, they have been extensively tweaked and re-tweaked to become almost perfect; I'm sure you could adapt this to your problem. If not, you could follow the parameterization recipe available on this website.
