unanswered Why include i, i+2 and i, i+3 LJ interctions?

Dear Martini users:
It seems when using the official python script treat with protein(choose either martini22 or martini22p), the "Exclusions" in [Moleculetype] section are set to 1, which means it will treat i atom and i+2, i+3 atms with full LJ interaction.
I just a little curious about the benefit of doing this (If I'm right, it not mentioned in origin Martini paper) or in another way, the disadvantage of removing these (e.g. set exclusion to 2).

Forgive me for put a lot naive questions these days.
