Hi
Using a set of pre-parameterized coarse grained polymers, can I use Schlitter's entropy to simply compare the entropy between these polymers in different conditions?
Assume that smaller degrees of freedom from CG models causes a reduction in entropy?
Can anybody recommend any literature?
Regards

Hi,
Interesting topic. I'm not familiar with Schlitter's entropy but you can estimate the entropy of any (CG) model.
Indeed, the entropy of a CG model will be lower because if you have fewer degrees of freedom.
I know of this work [J. Phys. Chem. B 2006, 110, 8464-8473] (PDF --> riccardobaron.us/pdf_5.pdf ).
