how to put the protein into the membrane was created by richor
Dear all,
I was trying to run a protein in the membrane for a while.
However, if I dig a hole and put the protein into the membrane,it needs too long time to get equilibrate.
So do you just run to wait for a long time or adjust the protein manually ?

Hi Richor,
If the hole is carved to match the protein shape, then the equilibration time should not be too long. Make sure you have your protein oriented correctly with respect to the membrane. We have a tool here (called 'insane') for building membranes around proteins, which we're preparing for release. If you want, we can see how it works for your case. You can drop me a line for that.

Thank you for your reply.
I have already figure this problem out.
I just put the protein on the whole membrane,then calculate to find the overlap lipids and remove them .It seems work well.
